Physiotherapist with expertise in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders

to join our team, either full-time or part-time.

Position Summary:

As a TMJ Physiotherapist at UniPhysio & Associates, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of jaw, facial, and neck conditions related to TMJ disorders. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working in a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development. We offer a fair split compensation structure, promoting a collaborative approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients presenting with TMJ-related symptoms, including jaw pain, headaches, and neck discomfort. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based approaches to TMJ rehabilitation. Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, posture correction, and other modalities to address TMJ dysfunction. Educate patients and their families about their condition, home exercises, and long-term self-management strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation. Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care. Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in TMJ physiotherapy through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution. Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Specialized training or significant clinical experience in TMJ assessment and treatment. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to fostering a positive work environment and personal growth.
