About the Team You will join Team Dauntless to help drive and build outstanding user experiences for the Knowledge Management product. This is one of two teams that helps build and maintain a native knowledge base that empowers our customers to create, categorize, maintain, track, and secure articles.

We are looking for someone who finds comfort jumping around the stack (front end/back end) and absorbing knowledge from a very hardworking and dedicated team. Quality is very important to you and you hold yourself and those around you accountable to deliver fully tested, quality code.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join as a Sr Associate Software Development Engineer working on one of the newer products built within Workday on a team that values engineering excellence and aims to focus on sound architecture, quality and building the right things, the right way. As a newer product we frequently work with our customers, Product Manager, UX and design to determine solutions that will tackle the problems our customers face and find product market fit. Our back-end consists of two microservices written in Kotlin with a React front-end that supports a rich-text editor for article authoring and viewing. We are going to be working to enhance this space by having this team start to work on providing insights to authors on the health of their Knowledge Base.

About You

Basic Qualifications

1+ years experience building enterprise-level software with a focus on performance, scalability, and security

1+ years experience with Object-Oriented Design and Programming, data modelling, structures, and algorithms (Kotlin/Java preferred)

1+ years experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end frameworks (React preferred)

Other Qualifications

A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational boundaries

Familiar with virtualisation and build technologies such as Docker, VMware, Webpack, Gradle and Jenkins

You see software development as a team sport, and thrive in a highly collaborative, agile culture where you\xe2\x80\x99re always teaching and learning

Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work smoothly with both technical and non-technical audiences

Experienced in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment using Scrum successfully
