Respawn is looking for an Associate Quality Designer to join an established, experienced team working on Apex Legends.

We are seeking an individual to join Respawn in an Associate Quality Designer role on Apex Legends. You will be working with the Maps Quality Verification (QV) team to ensure the quality of upcoming content by creating and managing test plans, compiling actionable feedback, and by driving a variety of tools and process evolutions.

In this role you will provide insight into our quality strategies and demonstrate a strong understanding of how to ensure that our test teams are able to fully understand and verify seasonal content based on your feature ownership abilities. You will partner with Developers and Producers to ensure a deep understanding of any given feature, along with making sure that edge cases have been accounted for. You will act as an important contributor to the end-to-end coverage and quality of the product.

Requirements:

  • Design test strategies, plan and lead seasonal content deliverables, and manage associated communications
  • Partner with other Quality Verification (QV) feature owners to create and evolve a Quality Strategy that includes the use of scripting automation tools and process improvements in an effort to improve efficiency
  • Mentor, support and grow the skills of both local and remote QV team members through active coaching and engagement
  • Help evolve the team\'s tools and processes with a focus on expanding capabilities and responsibilities, along with introducing more efficient and accurate practices
  • Improve the effectiveness of the QV effort by assessing current practices and incorporating new strategies, including further use of technology, automation, and development of new test tools
  • Deliver open, respectful, and constructive feedback on gameplay qualitative features of the map based on a strong understanding of Battle Royale titles
  • Represent QV when attending meetings and stand-ups
  • Work with partners to identify risks and plan testing for seasonal releases based on currently owned features
  • Contribute weekly status report and outline progress and potential blockers succinctly
  • Work closely with development and test team leaders to guide assigned Maps features through each project milestone. This includes planning and coordinating various phases of scripted and unscripted test coverage, addressing feature scope changes, and coordinating performance testing.
  • Connect with partners to influence best practices and make decisions based on observed trends
