This role is instrumental in the company\xe2\x80\x99s efforts to grow sales and market share by its focus on veterinary recommendation and \xe2\x80\x98Brand Recommendation Most Often\xe2\x80\x99 (BRMO) leadership.
The Associate PVA Manager executes the strategy provided by the country PVA Director to deliver Hill\xe2\x80\x99s programs focused on all parts of the veterinary profession (schools, students, KTLs, practicing veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other clinic team members, as well as internal audiences) and accomplishing the yearly KPI/goals set by the country PVA-D, leading to:

• Strong positive impression of the Hill\xe2\x80\x99s company, its products, and its services
• Continued scientific leadership of Hill\xe2\x80\x99s and strong scientific knowledge of the Hill\xe2\x80\x99s field team
• Leadership in active veterinary team endorsement and BRMO by engaging with key stakeholders such as students, recent grads and RVTs
• Continued market share, top line, and bottom line growth

What You Will Do:
40% - Lead student, recent grad and RVT engagement to drive BRMO and build strong relationships with these key decision makers in the field. 25% - Technical marketing: Act as the primary contact for marketing for GTM support including localization of technical documents, training of the field team on innovation and LXs. 25% - Team training & education: Maintain and deliver a regular training schedule for territory managers, to ensure strong field team technical knowledge. Develop and lead TM technical on-boarding program. 10% - Lead partnerships with key national veterinary organizations as well as HTLTs

• Develop and generate unique programs, projects and activities to expand awareness, knowledge and use of Hill\xe2\x80\x99s products

Working Relationships (Key partnerships and reporting relationships)

• Reporting manager: Professional & Veterinary Affairs Director
• Internal customers: Consumer/customer marketing, customer development, PVA
• External customers: The role will interface with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, other veterinary healthcare team members, KTLs, and academia

Required Qualifications:

• Professional degree in veterinary medicine (DVM, VMD or equivalent)
• 3+ years of clinical practice experience; current, active license to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario
• Board certification in Nutrition would be an asset
• 2+ years of experience working in the veterinary nutrition or pharmaceuticals industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the pet food business
• Fluent in English, fluent in French is an asset
• Strong analytical skills and basic understanding of business and business terminology
• Able to work independently to manage a demanding schedule with irregular hours and to manage travel within geography/region
• Self-starter with high initiative, strong work ethic and high integrity
• General computer skills, strong organization and time management skills, ability to work independently
• Proven sales experience in a related industry is a benefit
• Experience with teaching and universal design for learning
• Generates strong credibility by speaking knowledgeably and objectively about scientific literature, Hill\xe2\x80\x99s products and the science behind the products
• Veterinary Science and Brand Knowledge
• Keeps current on literature at a practitioner level
• Has a thorough understanding to speak informatively and competently about Hill\xe2\x80\x99s technology and products, understands the related scientific literature
