Job Description

The Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) operates returns programs that are an easy and safe way to dispose of medications and other health products that we all have in our homes.

HPSA is seeking a Full-Time

Associate, Programs

to support us in day-to-day program administration and client service. Reporting to

Manager, Stewardship Programs.



Job Summary



The Associate, Programs based in New Brunswick will play a key role in supporting the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of HPSA's stewardship programs across Canada, with an emphasis on New Brunswick and Eastern Canada. This role focuses on program operations, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance, accessibility, and innovation in the Medication Return and Sharps Collection Programs.

The Associate will contribute to program participation growth, operational excellence, and evidence-based decision-making, while fostering relationships with partners and stakeholders. This position emphasizes program support, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration to advance HPSA's strategic priorities.

Duties



Program Support & Delivery



Support the implementation and monitoring of take-back programs to ensure compliance with provincial requirements. In collaboration with provincial service providers: Assist with onboarding and maintaining collection sites, ensuring accurate data entry and updates in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/ Collection Location Change Management (CLCM) data systems. Track service frequency and ensure operational consistency across programs. Support program improvement initiatives.

Data, Reporting & Analysis



Support the collection, verification, and analysis of data. Contribute to the preparation of dashboards, program metrics, provincial annual reports, and support non-financial audit reviews. Assist in ensuring data integrity across internal databases and recommend improvements for accuracy and usability. Translate data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and program strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement & Participation



Support relationships with pharmacy banners, regulators, and other partners to enhance program visibility and participation. Contribute to outreach initiatives that encourage pharmacies and collection sites to strengthen their engagement with HPSA programs. Assist in building relationships with local governments to ensure residents know where to take back accepted program products Assist in developing targeted communication materials for stakeholders. Participate in conferences and workshops as required to represent HPSA programs.

Process Improvement & Internal Collaboration



Collaborate with colleagues to streamline program processes and identify efficiencies. Support cross-departmental initiatives to align operations with HPSA's strategic focus areas. Contribute to knowledge sharing and internal capacity building.

Requirements



Post-secondary education Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in program delivery, data analysis, or stakeholder engagement. Bilingual (French and English) Experience in stewardship, extended producer responsibility, or compliance-based industries considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCES/SKILLS



Versed with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM Ability to analyze data and develop recommendation (critical thinking) Problem solving skills Strong work ethics Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment Strong relationship building and ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidential information and exercise independent judgment Ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep things on track Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, creativity and enthusiasm in achieving results.
