Why is this role important?
As Associate Product Designer, Platform you will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional colleagues in the Platform team and also various lines of business. Reporting into the Design Lead, Platform, on a team of 5 designers, you\xe2\x80\x99ll create solutions that can scale and support multiple brands, business objectives and customer needs. You\'ll be working on features focused around emergent technologies and understanding how AI, conversational design and personalization can enhance our customer experience. You will work in a collaborative environment with a fantastic culture, partnering with team members across the organization to contribute to the overall success of Loblaw Digital, and our customers.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
\xc2\xb7 Problem Discovery, Definition & Goal Setting: You\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with your team to ensure that problems, initiatives, and outcomes are well-defined and documented based on objective data. You\xe2\x80\x99ll participate in discovery sessions and workshops that align your team around clearly defined problem statements and goals.
\xc2\xb7 Interaction Design: Learn when and why to apply interaction design processes to achieve the right outcomes with your team. Your focus will be in the interplay between words, visuals, space, time, and behaviours of digital user interfaces.
\xc2\xb7 Art Direction & Visual Design: You\xe2\x80\x99ll design high-fidelity interfaces that we build. You understand how to convey visual personality, tone, look and feel, and the flourish that is appropriate to your product.
\xc2\xb7 Design Systems Thinking: You\xe2\x80\x99ll discover how to ensure that design solutions utilize and further the our design system, and leverage or iterate on existing patterns whenever possible. You\xe2\x80\x99ll identify undefined or inconsistent patterns and propose scalable solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Inclusive Design: You want to create digital products can be experienced by everyone, reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve. You are eager to learn AODA design requirements and apply knowledge of inclusive design \xe2\x80\x98grey areas\xe2\x80\x99 that may not be legal requirements, but improve our digital products for everyone.

\xc2\xb7 Beautiful, accessible, scalable digital experiences.
\xc2\xb7 Experience designing for build or conceptualization, features for emergent technologies (AI, Personalization, Chat-bot/conversational UI)
\xc2\xb7 Your approach to problem framing and solutioning while balancing stakeholder needs and technical constraints.
\xc2\xb7 Your ability to use design as a tool to uncover what questions to ask, what solutions to explore, and how to define and measure success.
\xc2\xb7 The key performance indicators you considered or used to measure the effectiveness of your solutions.
