Rockstar Toronto is on the lookout for an Associate Producer to join our Production team and assist in making some of the most highly respected and widely recognized AAA titles in video games. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar\'s unique game development studio in Oakville.

This role will focus on internal product development efforts for Technical Animation, helping those teams plan and manage their way through the development of technology pipelines and software. This person will also lead a team of Production Coordinators, and collaborate with other Producers across the globe to improve our production processes.The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized with strong interpersonal skills. We\'re looking for someone that thrives in a fast paced and oftentimes fluid environment where tasks may change quickly from one day to the next.

  • We collaborate with stakeholders and developers to plan, organize, and manage product development.
  • We proactively use knowledge and experience to identify and solve problems before they affect our development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a team of Production Coordinators.
  • Provide excellent communication about development efforts to management.
  • Work with stakeholders and developers to create plans for product development.
  • Help facilitate decision making with stakeholders, developers, and management.
  • Build and maintain communication between departments and fellow associates on developing shared workflows.
  • Proactively identify and resolve production issues.
  • Understand the needs and workflows of teams, proactively helping to streamline our project management processes.
  • Maintain an active awareness of team goals and timelines.
  • Assist development teams in identifying and resolving issues preventing progress.
  • Assign, prioritize, and track tasks using our in-house project management tools.
  • Assist in tracking and scheduling tasks for our production team coming from various departments.
  • Ensure meetings are properly documented and actioned.
  • Help manage the flow of tasks and information between disciplines and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor\'s degree in a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in production or project management.
  • Proven industry experience in a production role on at least one AAA title or in the technology software space.
  • Experience with the planning, tracking, and reporting of software development efforts.
  • Experience with Shotgrid, Confluence, and other project tracking and bug database software.
SKILLS
  • Ability to plan large and small product development efforts.
  • Great interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting and with other departments.
  • A willingness to be involved in all aspects of the development process.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and project management.
  • Excellent and confident communicator.
  • Eagerness to learn new workflows and software tools.
  • Ability to spot bottlenecks and proactively work to resolve issues.
  • Motivated, flexible, and autonomous.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Understanding of or willingness to learn software development practices.
PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python is a plus.
  • Experience with Maya, Motionbuilder, and 3dsmax are a plus.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for video games; especially Rockstar titles.
