Work at CBC/Radio-Canada
At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance.
Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry? Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.
Your role
The successful candidate will be assigned primarily to the production of newscasts or other programs for regional French services.
With appropriate direction from a producer and/or switcher/director, you organize and contribute to the preparation, production and post-production of a televised newscast. Although work is generally performed according to accepted standards and procedures, there is latitude for independent judgment and initiative. At the same time, there is a high requirement for accuracy and attention to detail. Work regularly involves the coordination of the activities of others.
You will be responsible for preparing the required materials and will assist in the presentation of scripts. You will also be responsible for gathering information required to produce the show, ensuring that the necessary revisions are made to lineups, and informing all affected personnel of any changes. You will also compile and proofread all information for credit lists and keys.
Please note that the part-time permanent position is based on an atypical Saturday & Sunday schedule with shifts that may end in the evening.
