as an
Associate Procurement Specialist
, where you'll help manage Government Property (GP) for the River Class Destroyer Program. This is your opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project that shapes the future of naval capability.
As part of our dynamic team, you'll ensure GP information and materials are effectively controlled and integrated across all program and build activities. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendors, and subcontractors to maintain compliance and drive successful project execution.
Strategic Sourcing:
Research and analyze to develop optimal sourcing strategies for your portfolio.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Provide accurate, timely, and clear advice to support progress and schedule adherence.
Supplier Management:
Oversee full life cycle activities--pre-qualification, engagement, negotiations, and performance management--to ensure on-time delivery.
Sourcing Events:
Develop and manage RFIs and RFPs to meet cost and schedule expectations.
Contract Management:
Prepare contracts, lead negotiations, deliver executive briefings, and manage post-award administration.
Purchase Order Oversight:
Review and attest invoices to ensure first-time match and compliance.
Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (preferred).
Introductory knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities.
Ability to complete assigned tasks, typically gained through
0-2 years of relevant experience
.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
