Leader Name: Partner / Managing Director, P&C Consulting

As ATB\'s next Associate Partner, P&C Consulting you are a trusted advisor providing strategic expertise to senior leaders and executives aimed at driving talent management practice, elevating leadership capability, advancing organizational development, and driving business results. You leverage your skills to partner and work collaboratively with clients and People, Culture, Brand and Communications (PCBC) to deliver best-in-class solutions.

In delivering on this mandate, you will lead a team of consultants and oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, drive cultural change, enhance employee engagement, retention, and development for our Everyday Financial Services (EFS). EFS is the forefront of ATB\'s distribution with 2500 team members throughout Alberta.

The Associate Partner reports into the Managing Director / Partner, P&C Consulting and is an acting member of the Consulting leadership team.

This includes:

  • Developing a strong understanding of ATB\'s 10 year strategy and EFS business plan
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive new business opportunities and deliver results
  • Collaboration with PCBC and EFS leadership team to assess human capital needs and provide strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Understanding of data to tell insightful stories for EFS
  • Leading and implementing initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning and development of talent
  • Leading the annual performance enablement processes for EFS
  • Providing guidance and support to consultants on employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Coordinating with PCBC stakeholders to identify required adaptations to allow enterprise people programs and projects to fit within EFS needs and culture
  • Coordinating with PCBC stakeholders to resolve gaps between enterprise people programming and EFS needs
You are:
  • A strategic and systems thinker who is passionate about leading people
  • An influencer with advisory and communication skills who is able to promote consistency of practice, and employ flexibility in approach to serve local needs
  • A data driven and critical thinker who can proactively identify client needs, navigate complex people matters and formulate recommendations for leader consideration & action
  • Able to work with multiple deadlines from multiple stakeholders
  • Able to cultivate strong, trust-based relationships that help move the business forward in tricky situations
  • Able to connect P&C activities to business strategy and goals that translate into value for the business
  • Adept at working in a matrix environment
  • A strong communicator and facilitator with experience leading, for example, team effectiveness, group process or learning offerings in virtual and in-person environments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • Management consulting experience in a Human Resources related field considered an asset
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge and breadth of experience in employee and labour relations
  • Solid knowledge of the business as demonstrated by an understanding of ATB\'s business model, operations and strategic goals
