OVERVIEW
This role will drive strategic initiatives relating to vendors and budgets across a variety of business units within Canada Life's Wealth Solutions business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support business units within Wealth Solutions as Planning Lead by driving forecasts, budgets, approvals, and business cases on a variety of initiatives
• Support AVP, Investment Operations and Servicing in managing external vendor budget. This includes service providers such as Bloomberg and market data providers such as S&P Dow Jones, + MSCI.
• Influence business partners and key stakeholders to ensure that the resources needed for the initiatives are allocated and documented accurately
• Assist Wealth Solutions businesses as they develop cases for a variety of audiences
• Present recommendations to senior leadership as required
• Ensure new service providers or market data providers are onboarded in compliance with corporate guidelines
• Conduct peer survey and market trends on behalf of Wealth Solutions business units

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 5+ years of experience in financial services ideally in investment fund operations
• Strong planning/budgeting and project management skills
• Self-motivated and results oriented individual with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills to enable effective engagement with key stakeholders during project ideation, planning, and delivery
• Experience partnering with external suppliers and vendors
• Organizational skills to drive structure around project planning, tracking, and reporting
• Strong presentation skills to drive clear and concise recommendations to senior leadership
• Vision and ability to see how the strategy impacts future operational processes, procedures, and policies

The base salary for this position is between $67,000 - $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
