Job Description


As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Associate Legal & Tenant Support Specialist located in our Guelph, Ontario office.


The Associate Legal & Tenant Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring our business and residential operational procedures follow all provincial tenancy law, the Human Rights code, PIPEDA and all other provincial regulations. Assists with the training and development of new and current employees both in the field and head office who attend provincial Residential Tenancy Tribunals and participates in the coordination of documents, activities and workflow planning for matters concerning provincial tribunals to ensure deadlines are met.

What we look for:

  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), Ontario Human Rights Code, Small Claims, Provincial Offences, PIPEDA, and other applicable legislation.
  • An administrative wizard who has a great grasp of database management and an eye for details.
  • Familiarity with leasing/rental documents and lease negotiation principles.
  • Strong researching, legal documentation and file management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with an enthusiasm for working with the public. You\'ll be servicing some pretty awesome tenants and those tenants will need someone just as awesome.
  • Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills while remaining detail oriented.
  • Diplomacy, but firm in response to assertive behavior (think cool as a cucumber).
  • Working knowledge of Yardi is an asset.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Paralegal Diploma completed from an accredited paralegal education program.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a licensed Paralegal, understanding of tenant support, residential tenancies or similar experience an asset.
  • Licensed Paralegal designation required.
