We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by advocating for clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence or misconduct. The position requires a proactive professional with a passion for justice and client advocacy.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through resolution, including litigation if necessary
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies
Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather relevant information and evidence
Develop case strategies based on factual findings, legal precedents, and applicable laws
Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
Stay current on developments in personal injury law through ongoing research and professional development
Qualifications
License ( in good standing ) with the Law Society of Ontario
1-3 years experience in personal injury law or related fields is preferred
Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis or similar legal research tools
Excellent negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients
Superior writing skills for drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions
Exceptional communication skills for client interactions, negotiations, and courtroom presentations
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment
Proficiency in any South Asian language (Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Gujarati, etc. ) is an asset, reflecting our commitment to serving Ontario's diverse communities.
