Summary:

The Associate, IT Solutions will collect, analyze, develop, document and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions. The incumbent will provide support on selected systems (for example SAP PP, SAP MM in an electronics manufacturing environment, material movement and inventory tracking, and integration with local applications). Participate in IT projects.

Detailed Description:

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Gather and document business requirements
  • Work with various IT teams and the business partners to deliver IT solutions
  • Respond to system problems by analyzing the issue and determining the next course of action
  • Participate in various IT projects as required
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
  • Customer service orientation
  • Analytical, technical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Communication and documentation (including flow charting) skills
  • Good functional business process and SAP PP configuration/technical knowledge in the areas of Discrete Manufacturing processes, Master Data, BOM, ECM, Routing, Work Center, Demand Management, LTP, Planning, MRP, MTS, ATO, Planned and Production Order Conversion, Confirmation, Settlement, Scrap, Safety Stock, Subcontract, etc.
  • Good knowledge of System design/development (technical specification for forms, reports, interfaces, data conversions, extensions/modifications and workflows)
  • Extensive integration with other SAP modules, such as SAP SD, SAP MM, Batch scheduling, GRC
  • Strong exposure to system integration between SAP and Shop Floor Control System, Product Data Management System
  • Experience with EDI, job scheduling, and SAP middleware
  • Ability to drive functional requirements through user interviews, documentation analysis and process mapping
  • Ability to make evaluations & recommendations of alternatives (options, pros/cons & recommendations)
  • Ability to size development and testing efforts and duration
  • Experienced in leading project and development team
  • Strong communication with varying levels of audiences both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication and problem resolution skills
  • Strong knowledge of change management process
  • Time management and project management skills
  • General understanding of software development life cycle concepts and practices
Physical Demands:
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • 5-10% travel required within GTA
Typical Experience:
  • 2 to 3 years\' experience in similar job roles
Typical Education:
  • Bachelors Degree
