EVONIK Vancouver Laboratories (VAN), the operating drug delivery service site of Evonik Canada Inc., is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that provides CMC services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies engaged in the development and manufacture of complex delivery-based drug formulations.EVONIK has a successful track record of helping Customers move their programs forward.   • Complies with company\xe2\x80\x99s policies and performance standards.
  • Performs analysis and processes data according to written procedures and protocols, to support release, stability, and in-process testing.
  • Supports the timely and accurate completion of deviations, out-of-specification lab investigations, change controls and CAPAs.
  • Performs calibration, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting (when required) of laboratory equipment.
  • Performs peer review of QC data and prepares study protocols/reports as required.
  • Supports validation of test methods and qualification of new laboratory equipment.
  • Assures all data and records are accurately documented and maintained effectively in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and data integrity requirements.
  • Adheres to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs, rules, and procedures.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and quality system improvement initiatives.
  • Performs additional duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum BSc. in chemistry, applied sciences, or equivalent.
  • \xe2\x89\xa5 3 years of work experience in a regulated laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
  • Working knowledge of GMP regulations is preferred.
  • Able to perform testing including but not limited LC/UV, LC/ELSD/CAD, LC/MS, GC, CE and FTIR.
  • Sound knowledge in validation and troubleshooting of analytical methods and lab equipment/ instruments would be an asset.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a team working environment and apply prioritization to high value tasks.
  • Good organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Flexibility in work hours may be required.
