We are an equal opportunity employer seeking an associate financial planner to join our planning team. This role is designed for someone early in their career who is looking to learn comprehensive financial planning from the ground up. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced planners, provide critical support to the planning process, and play an important role in delivering a high level of service to our clients.

This position is not sales based and does not involve commissions or individual production targets.

Who This Role Is For


This role is well suited to someone at the beginning of their planning career who wants to be trained properly within a comprehensive and structured planning environment. You do not need an existing client list or prior planning designation. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable with detail oriented work, and motivated to build deep technical competence before taking on client facing responsibility.

What You Will Learn


You will gain hands on experience in comprehensive financial planning for incorporated professionals, including physicians and dentists. This includes cash flow planning, tax planning, corporate and personal integration, insurance analysis, retirement projections, and estate considerations. You will work directly with senior planners and partners, learning how complex planning decisions are built, reviewed, and communicated.

Responsibilities & Duties



Contact existing clients for the purposes of collecting and confirming financial data Draft, edit, and format initial financial plans for prospective clients Create, edit, and format annual review financial plans for existing clients Create and send key documents to existing and prospective clients Organize and track client contact logs Organize and maintain client files Assorted administrative tasks

Qualifications & Skills



Undergraduate degree (Finance, business or economics preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and Excel Experience or familiarity with Conquest is preferred Excellent grammar, spelling, and general writing skills Ability to formulate and articulate ideas Ability to effectively communicate with clients, coworkers, and supervisors Desire to pursue a career as a financial planner (CFP Designation) Ability to analyze financial data and provide creative and effective solutions to clients Thorough, analytical, and meticulous Strong mathematical acumen Personable and presentable Experience in the financial services industry an asset
