Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Financial Advisor to join our team. We are a client-focused wealth management office dedicated to providing comprehensive financial planning, insurance, and investment solutions. Our team works closely with individuals, families, and businesses to help them achieve their financial goals with professionalism, integrity, and personalized service.

Responsibilities



Provide insurance and investment advice within licensing scope, ensuring recommendations align with client goals and regulatory standards. Conduct needs analyses and prepare proposals for insurance, investment, and wealth management solutions. Assist in client onboarding, including completing applications, collecting required documentation, and facilitating account set-up. Handle client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues when appropriate. Participate in client review meetings, preparing financial summaries and follow-up action items. Maintain accurate and compliant client files in accordance with industry regulations Support advisors with scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up tasks. Process investment and insurance transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Assist with compliance monitoring, ensuring documentation and disclosures meet all regulatory requirements. Manage office communications, including responding to phone calls and emails from clients and industry partners. Collaborate with senior advisors and administrative staff to ensure seamless client experiences. Contribute to business development activities, including preparing presentations, marketing materials, and event coordination. Identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and client service delivery.

Requirements



Current licensing to sell insurance and investment products in Nova Scotia, licensed within other provinces would be considered an asset. 2+ years of experience in financial services, insurance, or wealth management preferred. Strong knowledge of investment products, insurance solutions, and financial planning principles. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with financial services software, Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills--able to build rapport with clients and work effectively with a team. High attention to detail, with the ability to balance compliance requirements and client service.
