What you'll be doing
As a member of the Wood Gundy team, you will be responsible for building and growing Wood Gundy client portfolios through dedicated relationship management, trusted investment advice and exceptional client service. As an Estate Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert estate planning advice to prospects and clients. You will work with Investment Advisors and cover clients assigned to them at a CIBC Wood Gundy branch, which will act as their home base, and may also be assigned clients to cover at a variety of satellite branches. Within the branch, you will be supervised by and report directly to the Executive Director of Estate Planning Solutions while also maintaining a reporting relationship with the Branch Manager.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How you'll succeedClient Service - Develop and maintain a portfolio of insurance clients with a focus on financial and estate planning. Work with Investment Advisors, clients, and prospects to analyze and identify insurance needs using appropriate products, planning methods and tools. Analyzing information as well as trends and applying it to individual client needs.
Sales & Marketing - Develop the capability of all assigned Investment Advisors and Branch Offices to sell various life insurance concepts directly to their clients and prospects.
Collaboration - Work alongside the Investment Advisors to assess and evaluate the appropriateness of life insurance products to meet CIBC Wood Gundy's clients' financial and estate planning objectives. Consult with Investment Advisors regarding illustrations, product selection and application reviews prior to the completion of sales.

You have a degree/diploma within a related field/Industry related designation and/or relevant experience.
You're a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing with the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). The Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Life Underwriter designations are an asset.
