We are hiring an

Associate Director, People & Culture (located in Vancouver or Calgary)

to support key people functions across the organization. This role will focus on recruitment and onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, policy and employment standards, and operational support across all team member touchpoints. You will help us build efficient, people-first processes using LEAN principles and innovative technologies, and contribute to shaping a consistent, supportive, and forward-thinking culture.

Responsibilities



Culture, Engagement & General P&C Support



Support initiatives that create a positive and inclusive team member experience, from onboarding to offboarding. Provide direct HR support and guidance to leaders and team members, helping them navigate policies, resolve concerns, and foster strong working relationships. Facilitate feedback loops, engagement surveys, and recognition programs. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance how we support our people. Provide general People & Culture support and serve as a key contributor across core P&C function

Policy, Compliance & HR Operations



Maintain up-to-date HR policies, handbooks, and SOPs that reflect employment standards across provinces. Ensure compliance with provincial employment legislation and standards in all jurisdictions where we operate. Research and implement innovative workflow tools and LEAN processes to streamline team member lifecycle activities. Maintain accurate records and support leaders with scheduling, document management, and reporting needs.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding



Support organizational needs by managing recruitment activities across departments and provinces. Draft, post, and manage job advertisements and candidate flow, working in collaboration with leaders to ensure timely, inclusive hiring practices. Coordinate and participate in interviews and reference checks, ensuring a consistent, positive, and values-aligned candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Refine and manage onboarding processes, including document collection and administrative tasks, with a focus on improving efficiency and preparing for future technology adoption such as an HRIS. Work closely with leaders to review and refine job descriptions, ensuring alignment with responsibilities and accurate scope across the organization.

Compensation & Benefits



Support compensation-related activities, including wage benchmarking, market reviews, internal equity reviews, and salary administration. Collaborate on total rewards strategies that reflect our values and enhance team member engagement and wellbeing. Maintain benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and liaison with third-party providers. Partner with the broader People & Culture team to ensure timely, accurate communication of benefits offerings.

What You Bring



5-7 years of progressive experience in People & Culture, including experience across the full team member lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and HR operations. Solid working knowledge of employment legislation and workplace standards, ideally across BC, AB, and ON. Experience supporting compensation reviews, market benchmarking, and the design and refinement of job descriptions. A strong understanding of HRIS systems and workflow efficiencies, with curiosity for improving processes and applying LEAN principles where appropriate. A collaborative, service-oriented approach to working with leaders and team members across a growing organization. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive topics with care, confidentiality, and professionalism. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with platforms like Dayforce (asset).
