Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Global Engagement, the Associate Director, Global Mobility Programs is a member of the Vice Provost, Global Engagement leadership team and the senior leader in the International Programs Office (IPO), a unit within the Vice Provost Global Engagement portfolio that develops and implements international mobility programming for undergraduate students. The incumbent has responsibility for the effective management of team members, programs and services within the office and for developing and implementing strategies, partnerships programs and policies to enhance a university-wide approach to undergraduate student mobility for exchange, study abroad, short term and summer programs.
Working in collaboration with the leadership team, the incumbent frequently interacts with senior level internal and external stakeholders and provides superior project management skills to implement high priority projects, including leading cross-unit teams. With the senior leadership team, the Associate Director will play a key role in implementing a university-wide approach to, and expanded vision for, undergraduate student international mobility. This position provides expert advice to support university-wide decision making and business development related to global engagement, mobility programming, funding, and network opportunities, as they relate to the portfolio.
The Associate Director, Global Mobility Programs is a high visibility role that liaises with senior administrators and external stakeholders regarding all matters related to student mobility and international programs and acts as an advisor to facilitate decision making at an executive level. Due to the requirements of the role, flexibility and adaptability to travel internationally may be required.
