Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the FinTech & Payment Service Providers [PSPs] Sales, Global Transaction Banking in North America ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\'s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You\'ll Do:

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  • Develop profitable new business from assigned accounts and prospects to reach pre-established annual sales and revenue/portfolio targets by:
  • Preparing and delivering impactful presentations and proposals to both client and internal executive audiences.
  • Leading the client onboarding experience through the established process in a timely manner, engaging with key internal partners to accurately assess portfolio-specific KYC and risk management criteria.
  • Negotiating terms, conditions and documentation with customers, culminating in the closing of transactions either alone or with line management compensation arrangements in accordance with
  • Where required for non-borrowing customers, managing all aspects of the client relationship, including conducting annual reviews, negotiating fees, etc.
  • Consistently providing the Director, Sales timely and accurate business development reporting via Salesforce T1/C360.
  • Execute a marketing/calling program on designated customers and prospects by:
  • Conducting market analysis and identification of suitable prospects to effectively develop and implement a marketing program to acquire new business.
  • Maintaining a high market profile to position the team as FinTech and PSP subject matter experts by participating in industry boards, events, and educational opportunities.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends, competitors\' products/initiatives and other areas affecting FinTech/PSPs, payments & cash management industry
  • Identifying product deficiencies as a result of customer interactions and needs analysis and recommending potential product changes/opportunities to the Director.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with the Global Banking & Markets team and external contacts to share information that results in identification of quality prospects.
  • As appropriate, providing and coordinating GTB product and marketing training for internal staff.
Promote referrals to other parts of the Scotiabank Group by:
  • Keeping abreast of product offerings from all business lines
  • Monitoring and promoting continuous improvement in individual and group referral results
Provide and maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction by:
  • Ensure high service standards are maintained, including meeting expected turnaround times on customer commitments.
  • Seek and, where possible, action customer feedback on bank products and the delivery of customer service.
  • Ensure customer enquiries, concerns and complaints are resolved to the customer\'s satisfaction, resolving same within authority or by referring customer to the appropriate area consistent with the Bank\'s Complaint Resolution Guidelines.
  • Understand how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank\'s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
What You\'ll Bring:
  • A minimum of 5 years of cash management and/or treasury finance experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the Global Transaction Banking products
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking including payments & cash management with an affinity towards new digital propositions including API-based services.
  • Prior experience working with/for PSPs or FinTechs is an advantage.
  • Experience communicating complex relationships and opportunities to senior leadership to drive growth in the portfolio
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently and diligently manage an active and dynamic portfolio.
  • Thorough knowledge of documentation required to sell / service GTB products and of other Bank electronic banking products.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Results-focused team player with strong learning ability.
Work Arrangement:
  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Moderate travel within North America
