We\'re on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.About the roleAs ATB\xe2\x80\x99s next Associate Director, Agricultural Equipment Finance, you will be responsible for managing, developing, administering and maintaining a portfolio of Agricultural Equipment Finance relationships supporting Capital Asset Financing & Portfolio Management.Your primary focus will be to facilitate direct client sales, credit assessment, risk analysis, account maintenance and to assist with achieving profitable growth while ensuring optimum client service is provided.The primary focus of the Agriculture Equipment Finance Team is to facilitate new equipment finance opportunities from net-new ATB clients referred by a network of agricultural equipment dealerships and to create meaningful referrals to ATB Business. Additional focus will be to co-develop equipment finance opportunities from within existing ATB client portfolios. The Agriculture Equipment Finance Team works a dual role starting with sales and direct client contact, which then flows into the underwriting of a credit application. The team works closely with the ATB Credit and Operations teams to ensure that opportunities are underwritten and documented in a professional and client-centric manner with strict adherence to all ATB risk management policies and procedures.Accountabilities

  • Prepare credit assessments through completion of an application for credit. Analyze to the appropriate degree financial statements to assess risk and determine which ATB financial services best meets the client needs
  • Review equipment collateral and financial statements while determining an appropriate finance structure and security package
  • Assess financial service needs of customers for potential referral to Business Relationship Manager
  • Administer existing connections including renewals, expired credits, initiating and following up on arrears and debt recovery
  • Ensure credit decisions / recommendations are in accordance with sound credit granting principles and are in accordance with ATB lending policy and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to obtain the required documentation, collateral and security to support the loan
  • Assist the Equipment Finance team with improving efficiencies and profitability of business unit
  • Participate in Sales Team meetings, sharing successes, best practices and other information with the team
  • Manage internal relationships with Business Relationship Managers
Skills, experience & requirements
  • 4-6 years Agricultural/Independent Business/Commercial lending or equivalent experience (Agriculture experience preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of lending policies and products
  • Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Accounting education would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with agricultural clients
  • Ability to meet deadlines and establish priorities to manage multiple issues
  • Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Strong personal computer skills, experience with both Microsoft and Google applications is considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge
  • High level of integrity and credibility
  • Enthusiastic team player with a proven record of success who wants to be part of a team dedicated to growth and to continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to produce effective results while working independently with limited supervision, but also be an effective team member
  • Excellent oral communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels throughout the organization
