Digital First for Health (DFfH) is Ontario's strategy to build an integrated, sustainable, and patient-centered health care system. . Digital capabilities that enable patients to access care and support provider coordination are essential to achieving seamless care delivery. This role supports the West Region Digital Transformation and Innovation Team in developing and executing strategic programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Associate will play a key role in synthesizing business cases, facilitating stakeholder engagements, developing knowledge translation tools, and supporting program and relationship management.
Here is what you will be doingSupport digital health planning activities, including program plans
Communicate emerging issues and opportunities with West Region Ontario Health Teams.
Apply innovative approaches such as design thinking to develop strategies and plans.
Coordinate reviews and reports to monitor and evaluate performance using statistical and service quality metrics.
Monitor performance indicators and benchmarks to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate on business cases, briefing notes, funding processes, and specific projects.
Coordinate logistics for stakeholder meetings and working groups.
Support scheduling and logistics for mid- and large-size meetings.
Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including the Ministry, Ontario Health, and health system partners.
Perform other duties as required.
Here is what you will need to be successful
Education and ExperiencePost-secondary education in health administration, health planning, business administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care environment.
Knowledge and SkillsPrevious experience with healthcare organizations or working with healthcare providers an asset.
Understanding of the healthcare system, its stakeholders, programs and issues, as well as strong knowledge of digital health in Ontario, is an asset.
Experience in innovation and/or design thinking methodologies an asset.
Demonstrated critical thinking and experienced in identifying and responding quickly to emerging issues and priorities.
Strong growth mindset and ability to work within complex and uncertain situations.
Uses evidence to make informed decisions and provide recommendations; exercises high degree of creativity, independence and professional judgment in problem-solving
Solid written and verbal communication skills. Internally, communicates with colleagues throughout the organization to present, discuss information and problems related to financial management and funding. Externally, communicates directly with various stakeholders to monitor funding allocations and performance.
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism with a solid understanding of financial controls.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
Must be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
