Job Overview: Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a talented Associate Developer to join our team. In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle of our extended solutions insurance software products and associated web services/APIs. You will participate in planning, architecture, implementation, quality control, development, maintenance, and documentation. We leverage Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver software applications that revolutionize the global business of insurance. We primarily develop using technologies like .Net (C#), TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL Server. Candidates with experience in C#, ASP.Net, SQL, Java, or C++ should anticipate facing less of a learning curve. However, we are very interested in finding the right team members and believe strongly that talented developers can bridge language or database gaps quickly.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

• Being accountable to your development team members and the organization to deliver high-quality technical solutions to provide business value
• Journey with your team on continual improvement through iterative software development cycles
• Develop advanced coding techniques that improve the quality of software written
• Collaborate with team members to self-manage business value-based solutions from concept to market
• Design and implement RESTful services and APIs on Google Cloud.
• Review code written by peers, focusing on readability and efficiency.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need to Succeed
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who:

• Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems Canada office

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

• Experience or training in any of the following: C#, .Net, or Go
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong logical reasoning and solution-oriented
• Genuine passion for programming
• Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment
• Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience.

Additionally, you may have:

• SQL Server database programming experience
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress or RestSharp
• Experience or training in REST or SOAP web service development
• Experience or training using a CI/CD development pipeline (GitLab or GitHub)
