As an Associate Data Integration Specialist, you will contribute to various initiatives by engineering data solutions for analytic purposes. You will be responsible for providing business value through the creation; maintenance; implementation of back-end data solution (ie. Source System Data Store & Business Data Store) with support from peers.

How you will create impact:




Work with data engineering tools: general purpose languages used in data engineering or generally in BI and related framework or interfaces, data querying and data handling and DevOps platforms. Contribute to building data solutions (data models, data pipelines, APIs and more). Help develop analytic solutions to solve business problems by understanding the role of data in reporting, metrics, predictive models, and other analytic solutions within the BI Environment. Deliver production ready code by assessing the data solution and follow best practices and standards (no technical debt, automation, scalable solution, incremental load, etc.) with the support of senior resources. Follow design principles based on the solution (ex: REST API) and best practice in terms of data handling (ex: security, governance), the SDLC (ex: unit testing), production code standards and meeting SLAs (ex: low latency responses). Understand the insurance domain (metrics, KPI, key insurance concept), business objectives and how your own tasks contribute to meeting the business objectives.

To join our team:




You have up to 2 years of experience in the Data Engineering/Integration or other related field. You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field. You have experience solving routine problems using and following existing procedures, guidelines, and standard practices. You have functional knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programming, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design. Experience with following technologies is required: SQL & Relational databases (ex: Azure Synapse / SQL Server), Git (esp. Azure DevOps and GitHub), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Experience with following technologies is an asset: Python (ex: Dash, Shiny), or other programming languages (ex: object-oriented), R, Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira, Databricks, Fabric, Azure Data Factory Having strong and demonstrated skills in the following would be an asset: Analysis, Accountability, Communication/Story-telling and Team work. Proficiency in English is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority non-francophone clients, groups, teams. Drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
