Chroma Counselling is looking for an Associate Counsellor with a Master's Degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology to join a growing private practice. This is a part-time position with flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends. Must be available for in-person work in Downtown Vancouver with some possibility of remote work. Flexible schedule would include a mixture of afternoons, evenings and weekends.

As an Associate Counsellor you will:

Provide counselling and therapy to individuals and/or couples and families Conduct consultation to prospective clients Complete notes and proper record keeping Complete billing and invoicing Participate in ongoing professional development and case consultation

Education and Experience:

Master's degree in Counselling, or Counselling Psychology from a recognized program. Two (2) years' recent related experience providing professional mental health services or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Registration with the BC Association for Clinical Counsellors

Knowledge and Abilities:

Comprehensive knowledge of psychotherapeutic and counselling skills. Demonstrated ability to apply a variety of theoretical models to practice in assessment and intervention. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, referral sources, medical personnel, and community agency personnel. Demonstrated ability to conduct a risk assessment and safety plan in collaboration with the client Strong computer literacy to operate a computerized client care information system and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, Internet and e-mail software. Two clinical or academic references
