Associate Cost Controller
and play a key role in ensuring accurate cost management and delivering positive business results.
In this role, you ' ll support daily cost control activities, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain the reliability of our Material Estimate at Completion (EAC). Your work will directly impact project success and cost savings initiatives across the organization.
Analyze & Forecast:
Review project activities, assess risks, and perform cost analysis to improve production and reduce risk.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Build strong relationships with Procurement and other functions to coordinate cost-saving initiatives and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
Manage Costs:
Ensure cost management systems are accurate, monitor budgets and commitments, approve purchase orders, and review forecasts.
Communicate & Report:
Support program updates for key stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (preferred)
Business, supply chain, or finance experience (an asset)
Ability to complete assigned tasks, typically with 0-2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
