The Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), Canada's leading, innovative and client-focused law firm, is seeking an:
Associate - Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign Investment
We are looking for
The ideal candidate will have 1 - 2 years experience practicing law. The candidate will be motivated, a team player, take great pride in their work, and have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and experience:
This role will offer the successful candidate the following opportunities:To develop expertise in Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign Investment law To work on both corporate and litigation matters Advising clients on mergers, cartel investigations and anti-trust class actions Providing strategic guidance on compliance matters, pre-merger negotiations and inquiries under the Competition Act*
Advising on regulatory challenges in advertising and marketing compliance Career advancement, support, and development Experience in Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign Investment law is an asset but not a requirement New calls will be considered
