Associate Cloud Solutions Engineer

The Associate Cloud Solutions Engineer is responsible for assisting in the Managed Services of Client and Atorus systems. These responsibilities are done in accordance with Atorus and/or sponsor standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH Guidelines and sponsor requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review system architecture, configuration, and performance to troubleshoot issues and draft recommendations for client and internal systems.
- Understand the design of cloud infrastructure regarding scalability, reliability, authentication, authorization, monitoring, and security.
- Understand cloud computing concepts including virtualization, networking, and other cloud resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Atorus and client systems/networks as directed.
- Review design documentation and configuration of Atorus and client systems.
- Operational administration of cloud-based services as needed.
- Evaluate and document existing systems to provide insights on performance and their fit for purposeREQUIREMENTS
- Completed or working towards a Bachelor\'s degree in scientific and/or technical field (engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science) required.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- 0-2 year(s) of functional cloud engineering or related work experience
- 0-2 year(s) working knowledge of R and Python programming languagesPREFERRED SKILLS
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience working in a collaborative, agile development environment.
