THE ROLE

The firm seeks to hire an Associate Client Partner in Organizational Strategy with a particular focus in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space. Sample projects in DEI include:
  • Develop DE&I strategies aligned to business and talent priorities.
  • Build inclusive leadership strategies
  • Architect structural inclusion
  • Diagnose talent management practices to uncover areas of bias
  • Build transparent, equitable talent processes
  • Provide pragmatic and action-oriented guidance on how to make change happen.
  • Develop a communication strategy that incorporates listening channels and feedback loops.
  • Establish governance mechanisms to track and measure outcomes.
  • Embed DE&I in the organization's DNA through use of tools, technology, processes and structures.
As an Associate Client Partner you will work closely with colleagues in the leading and managing of complex, custom and multi work-stream solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. This is the level for seasoned professionals capable of conversing confidently and fluidly with executive level clients on all of their business issues and harnessing the full power of the KF enterprise and our offerings to co-create effective and profitable solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Develop profitable business with key clients through effective client relationship building, account team leadership and impactful collaboration with colleagues across the KF enterprise, including internationally.
  • Set standards for and manage account team performance to manage client expectations and enhance satisfaction.
  • Lead and expand existing portfolio of client relationships with senior human resources (HR) and business leaders to increase opportunities to further impact the client's business success. Ensure project members are sufficiently enabled to meet client expectations. Lead the assessment and measurement of the impact of our work on our clients business.
  • Lead opportunities that span multiple service lines and/or geographies. Seen as the key architect of strategies for business development, managing other resources to accomplish this.
  • Maintain an appropriate mix of repeat and new business, proactively leveraging relationships to gain entry into new and grow existing accounts. Position KF in the marketplace through contributions to offerings/thought capital development and generating market awareness.
  • Lead research, analysis and interpretation on client / sector business issues, performance, client competitor performance etc. with a view to identifying possible opportunities. Partner with colleagues and clients to develop thought leadership and/or research. Leverage insights to define, recommend and /or co-create strategic solutions for clients.
  • Develop hypotheses about client business issues based on sound analysis plus client, sector and industry know how. Manage relationships with top thought leaders in their field globally, developing networks of influence that greatly increase opportunities for KF and move the firm to the forefront of leadership in the field. Speak at national or international forums in their area(s) of expertise, enhancing the KF brand. Lead and/or contribute to thought leadership and /or research. Plans for resource needs and implements strategies to ensure KF resources are used effectively to meet client needs.
  • Manages colleagues of all levels/expertise areas and from different offices/countries to deliver client work. Actively seek opportunities to support the development of colleagues through many and various means.
  • Develop a strong internal brand and international network and participate as a cooperative and proactive team member.
  • Possess exceptional depth and breadth across all Korn Ferry Advisory offerings, view business issues from multiple expertise angles and leverage deep expertise to offer commercial propositions and solutions that integrate across the business and involve inter-practice approaches not obvious to others.
  • Continue to deepen and broaden own consulting skills, business understanding and expertise to enable an expanded viewpoint on issues impacting our clients.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS
  • 12+ years of work experience in Strategy & Operations/Transformation practice of a management consultancy OR HR Operations/M&A Integration /Organizational Development/Organizational Design with a specific expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion analytics, diagnosis and strategy
  • Track record of helping clients to develop and implement transformation roadmaps with a strong emphasis on the leadership, organization, people, and cultural changes required to improve performance, with a particular focus in DEI
  • Strong client management and selling capabilities; track record of growing relationships with current clients and contributing to acquisition of new clients
  • Demonstrate a strong "outside-in" orientation, driving the development of industry-specific or client-specific products and services to meet emerging business needs, leveraging practice and industry experts and in alignment with global initiatives.
  • Financial literacy, business acumen, and a profit conscious mindset with the ability to analyze market data, interpret P&L information, and translate that information into meaningful action plans.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to clients in a professional, clear, concise and engaging way
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
