Job Description


The opportunity
Support the Indigenous Relations and Community Relations teams in coordinating internal and external events, including basic event planning, coordination with external guests, and AV management
What you’ll do

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in a timely and professional manner
  • Work independently to develop, prepare, proofread, analyze and update PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, reports, communication materials, correspondence and other materials; management of travel
  • Manage the Senior Vice President’s and departmental members’ calendars with internal and external parties. This includes coordinating meeting logistics booking rooms, AV support, catering, etc. as well as drafting meeting agendas and coordination of presentations where required
  • Coordination of voice and email, including monitoring, prioritizing and drafting responses reflecting a formal tone
  • Preparing and processing Senior Vice President’s monthly expenses, which could include expenses in multiple currencies
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multinational travel, including working with corporate travel vendor, ensuring travel schedules coordinate with meetings and different time zones while traveling, working directly with hotels or airlines in many countries and processing related expenses
  • Participate in project work and administrative needs including Strategy coordination with ELT and Business Unit Management, Mergers and Acquisition processes, Capital Allocation and Business Development Committees, and within department where expertise is required
  • Work closely with Analysts, and at times, organizes key data, files, digital materials on Company drives or collaboration tools (i.e. includes setting up shared drives, SharePoint sites, Box drives or other collaborative technology tools); may also include mapping and identification of data/ process

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • 6 years of related experience in a financial, business or operations analyst (or equivalent) role
  • Exceptional computer skills, ideally intermediate knowledge of: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Proven ability to prepare materials utilizing suite of Microsoft tools with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical (budgeting / financial) and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication


Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in a business-related field
  • Proven time management skills
  • Exceptional judgement and discretion when dealing with internal and external parties particularly when dealing with confidential matters
  • Proven organizational, planning and prioritization skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the capability to manage information and correspondence on multiple levels
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, resourceful, able to solve problems and find solutions to meet department needs
  • Experience with SAP, PIMS and/or PowerBI
