YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to the senior buying manager, the Associate Analyst supports and collaborates with the Senior Buying Manager to run the handbag business for the CIS Canadian retail division. The analyst will process and analyze data to provide recommendations to the manager on which best avenues to take based on the results of the analysis. The analyst will support the manager by coordinating activities, support the managers business decisions and be the communication intermediary between the departments. The role will essentially fall within these areas: analysis & reporting, data driven business decisions, communication. The ideal person is energetic, self-motivated, and possesses strong analytical, time management and multitasking skills.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on product performance (weekly sales, weekly best sellers)
  • Identifies trends by analyzing sales, volume, pricing, and promotional impact and makes recommendations to the manager
  • Prepare reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing and summarizing information, present it in a clean & user-friendly manner
  • Perform in-season management (analytics & recommendations for repeats, mkds, etc)
  • Perform pre-season planning: build & balance conceptual assortment plans (based on targets, performance analytics & trends)
  • Support manager to build & purchase a balanced collection (styles, breadth and depth) based on the needs of the region(s)
  • Monitor and report on competition
  • Work with manager to communicate business needs and ensure a strong product offering from product development
  • Support manager on product filtering sessions to ensure region(s)\' product needs are met
  • Perform cross-function collaboration activities to ensure Go-to-Market calendar activities are delivered
  • Perform cross-function collaboration activities with adjoining teams (distribution, planning, VM, marketing, pom, etc..)
  • Provide efficient and clear communications on action items to adjoining teams

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Fashion, Business or related Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Good time management, prioritisation, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical & multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively within stated timeframes and deadlines.
  • Bilingual with strong communication skills
  • Passionate with interest in fashion
