The Opportunity

The Associate Account Executive is a sales-focused role dedicated to identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new advertising clients. You will play a critical role in expanding Postmedia's client base by delivering custom marketing solutions that meet the needs of small to mid-sized businesses across Canada. This is an ideal position for a goal-oriented self-starter looking to launch or grow a career in media sales.



What you'll do:



Proactively prospect and engage new business leads through outbound outreach, cold calling, social media, and email campaigns. Work with the sales development team on sales qualified leads, starting from the discovery phase of the sales pipeline. Identify client needs and recommend tailored advertising solutions. Conduct virtual discovery calls and sales presentations to decision-maker. Assist the client services team, as required, to help maintain relationships with clients and assist with all renewals and upsell opportunities. Identify client needs and recommend tailored advertising solutions across multiple platforms. Manage a pipeline of opportunities and consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue targets. Record all client interactions, progress, and forecasting details in CRM tools. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and local market opportunities.

Ability to prospect, identify, pursue, and close new revenue opportunities Strong technical, sales, and listening skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to digital marketing; understanding and identifying opportunities for customers Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams Experience with CRM, and web-based meeting applications (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
