Position SummaryDans le cadre du projet \xc2\xab De la famille \xc3\xa0 la communaut\xc3\xa9 : politiques linguistiques et modes de transmission du fran\xc3\xa7ais en Saskatchewan \xc2\xbb, o\xc3\xb9 des donn\xc3\xa9es seront recueillies, l\'assistant.e de recherche devra :

  • Participer activement au recrutement et animer des groupes de discussion, de 1-2 heures, constitu\xc3\xa9s de personnes \xc3\xa2g\xc3\xa9es de 18 ans et plus, afin de recueillir des donn\xc3\xa9es relatives aux pratiques et aux habitudes de transmission linguistiques au sein de la communaut\xc3\xa9 fransaskoise en lien avec la langue fran\xc3\xa7aise.
  • R\xc3\xa9aliser d\'autres t\xc3\xa2ches connexes li\xc3\xa9es \xc3\xa0 ce projet (transcriptions, suivis, d\xc3\xa9pouillement de donn\xc3\xa9es, etc.).
-For the project \xc2\xab De la famille \xc3\xa0 la communaut\xc3\xa9 : politiques linguistiques et modes de transmission du fran\xc3\xa7ais en Saskatchewan \xc2\xbb, the successful research assistant is expected to:
  • Lead focus groups of 1-2 hours in length, comprised of participants aged 18 years and over, in order to collect data related to strategies adopted to ensure the transmission of the French language within the Fransaskois community;
  • Take part in other tasks related to research (transcriptions, follow-up, data analysis, etc.).
Position Requirements
  • \xc3\x89tudier aux cycles sup\xc3\xa9rieurs (la priorit\xc3\xa9 sera accord\xc3\xa9e au Programme d\'\xc3\xa9tudes francophones et interculturelles \xc3\xa0 La Cit\xc3\xa9)
  • Avoir une bonne ma\xc3\xaetrise du fran\xc3\xa7ais et de l\'anglais (\xc3\xa9crit et oral)
  • \xc3\x8atre impliqu\xc3\xa9.e dans la Fransaskoisie serait un atout
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans les techniques de collecte de donn\xc3\xa9es, surtout en animation de groupes de discussion ou entrevue de groupe
  • \xc3\x8atre pr\xc3\xaat.e \xc3\xa0 voyager \xc3\xa0 l\'ext\xc3\xa9rieur de Regina (de l\'aide avec le transport pourrait \xc3\xaatre fournie; un permis de conduire n\'est pas n\xc3\xa9cessaire).

  • Be a graduate student (priority will go to the French and Francophone Intercultural Studies program)
  • Be proficient in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Being involved in the Fransaskois community is an asset
  • Experience in data collection techniques, particularly in conducting focus groups (asset)
  • Be willing to travel outside Regina (help with transportation can be given; a driver\'s license is not necessary)
