Award Winning DJ Entertainment company is seeking a talented and dynamic individual assistant / Disc Jockey (DJ) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and entertainment, with the ability to engage and energize audiences at various events. As a DJ, you will be responsible for creating an enjoyable atmosphere through music selection, mixing, and live performances. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different crowd dynamics.

Duties

Curate and mix music playlists tailored to the event type and audience preferences. Perform live DJ sets at events, ensuring smooth transitions between tracks and maintaining an engaging flow. Interact with guests through public speaking, making announcements, and responding to requests. Collaborate with event planners to understand their vision and requirements for each event. Teach basic DJ techniques or music appreciation workshops as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot DJ equipment before and during events to ensure optimal performance. Write promotional content for social media or event marketing materials to enhance visibility and engagement.

Experience

Proven experience as a DJ or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; passion for music is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for engaging with audiences effectively. Experience in public speaking or teaching is a plus, as it enhances audience interaction. Familiarity with various music genres and trends to cater to diverse audiences is highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
