Full-Time, or Part-Time Pickup & Delivery Assistant Truck Driver with 3yrs Heavy Weight/Commercial Driving Experience.

The 3yrs proven heavy weight driving is a mandatory requirement for insurance coverage.

The Pickup & Delivery Assistant Truck Driver is responsible to assist the Lead Driver with the pick-up and delivery of furniture. When not driving or assisting with the pick-up and delivery of furniture, the Assistant Driver will assist in either store location as Receiver or Warehouse Worker, but the primary responsibilities will be pickups and deliveries of furniture from our donors and to customers in the community.

Key responsibilities:

Fill role of Lead Truck Driver when required Driving 16ft straight truck -

3yrs Proven Heavy Weight/Commercial Driving Experience Accident Free (A letter from previous employer)

Assisting with pickup and deliveries of customers' donations Ability to work under pressure following flexible schedules and meet deadlines Overcoming customers objectives and concerns Work closely with the Dispatcher and Receiver(s) Maintaining and cleaning the interior/exterior of company vehicles and compound Daily maintenance of property and ensure no safety violations exist Following merchandising standards on sales floor and warehouse Greeting and assisting customers with outstanding customer service skills Perform other duties as assigned or as required by the store management team Any fines, moving parking violations, chargeable offences and their associated expenses are the responsibility of the driver

Key skills and experience:

Proven 3 years of commercial/heavy weight driving experience (Documentation from previous employer) A clean Driver's Abstract (CVOR Abstract) G Class Driver's Licence Driving straight truck - 16 feet, as required Able to comfortably lift 50+ lbs. (no appliances) Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures set by management Knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act Complete a Criminal Background Check Ability to speak and read English
