We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven
Assistant Tow Manager
to support the daily operations of our towing fleet. This is a
demanding, fast-paced
role that requires sharp decision-making, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate logistics efficiently under pressure.
As the Assistant Tow Manager, you will be directly responsible for daily driver planning, shift scheduling, and ensuring that all fleet operations run smoothly and on time. You will work closely with drivers, dispatch, and upper management to ensure operational efficiency and high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Planning & Scheduling:
Create and manage daily schedules for drivers and fleet. Ensure all shifts are properly staffed and that each driver is assigned to the right vehicle and route.
Operational Readiness:
Ensure all drivers are fully equipped with the necessary tools, documents, and instructions before heading out. Verify readiness before each shift starts.
Route Checks & Driver Support:
Conduct route checks and assist drivers throughout their shifts with any operational issues, route changes, or emergency needs.
Real-Time Problem Solving:
Respond quickly and effectively to last-minute changes, delays, or unexpected challenges. Provide solutions to maintain service levels and minimize downtime.
Communication & Coordination:
Act as a critical point of contact between drivers, dispatch, and management. Maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure seamless operations.
Fleet Oversight:
Monitor fleet availability, maintenance needs, and usage. Flag any issues for repair or rotation and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure drivers follow safety standards, company policies, and local regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in transportation or fleet management (towing industry preferred)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to lead under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Tech-savvy; comfortable using routing, dispatch, and scheduling software
Availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, or emergencies as needed

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
