Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Assistant to the Logistics Manager

to join our growing logistics team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in logistics or supply chain management who is also interested in contributing to business development through customer outreach and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Logistics Manager in daily operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating shipments. Track and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time performance and quickly resolve issues as they arise. Maintain accurate logistics records, shipping schedules, inventory levels, and reports. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct market research to target potential clients in need of logistics services. Handle customer inquiries and provide tailored logistics solutions; follow up on sales leads. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). 1-3 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related role. Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with logistics software is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure.

CAD $50,000-$60,000
