Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Assistant to the Dean, Community Wellness (ADCW) is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of health education programs and initiatives, providing one-on-one student support and case management,and facilitating training and professional development opportunities for students, staff, and faculty at the College. The ADCW\'s work is rooted in scholarship and best practice. They are responsible for developing and implementing health-related educational programs and initiatives, including the identification of learning outcomes, pedagogical techniques, and evaluation methods. The incumbent collaborates with other student support staff at the College and key partners and services elsewhere at the University to ensure that University College students are holistically supported and equipped to thrive. They provide ongoing student support, make timely and informed referrals, and advocate for students, as needed. The ADCW works closely with the Dean of Students to inform key priorities and objectives. They are responsible for developing assessment tools, conducting detailed analyses, preparing reports, and communicating information to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent is also responsible for supervising a team of student-staff and working closely with student groups and student organizations at the College in the development and delivery of programs and initiatives. Although most work is conducted during regular business hours, evening andweekend work is sometimes required.
