JOB CONTEXT
The position requires the candidate to work as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator. The candidate will work within the corporation\'s safety-related field and report to the HSE Manager. The job is located in an organization with an established hierarchy and structure.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist with 1QM non-conformity data entry.
  • Prepare Work Instruction template, work with operators and document information, take photos, complete work instructions for new Training Program.
  • Track & Manage Action Items for: MHE Implementation, HIRA, LOTOTO, Fire & Explosion, JHSC, HSE Database entries (incident reports).
  • Participate in all JHSC Meetings, record minutes.
  • Assist with completion of HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments).
  • Assist with LOTOTO Gap Analysis.
Problem Solving:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Skills:

Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well with all levels of employees within the corporation and outside contacts.
Ability to complete projects and duties as assigned in an accurate and timely fashion.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Forms, PowerPoint) preferred.

Experience:

No previous HSE experience required, however a strong interest is preferred.

1 year experience (bonus).

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple communications.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with various personnel, authorities, and with supervisors.
Mathematical Skills: (technical/practical/managerial)

General basic math skills.
