This position within MLSE\'s NBA Gatorade League team (an affiliate of the Toronto Raptors Basketball Club) involves assisting with operational functions, including day-to-day activities, contract execution, staff onboarding, financial planning, and assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal clients to align team assets with core business objectives.
  • Manage events, including scheduling, logistics, account reconciliation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and attend office management committee meetings, recording minutes.
  • Ensure staff onboarding follows Raptors 905 and MLSE protocols.
  • Assist in managing KPIs and objectives for Finance, Marketing, and Global Partnerships.
  • Help manage the operating budget, including staffing and resources.
  • Oversee daily account reconciliation and month-end projections.
  • Support contract management and special projects.
  • Maintain documentation of team activities, status reports, and events.
  • Foster collaboration between supporting functions and external suppliers/customers.
  • Support social justice platforms and contribute to EDI-related initiatives.
  • Facilitate diversity-related training and open dialogues.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse individuals.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in sports management, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience in project or change management is valued.

  • Detailed understanding of NBA, NBA G League, and sports industry operations.
  • Client-facing experience, improving relationships and driving efficiencies.
  • Ability to take direction while displaying personal initiative.
  • Fast-paced with good planning and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills, excellent PowerPoint skills.
