Job Requirements:
A diploma or degree in Health and Community Studies / Community Social Services or experience caring for high- and at-risk youth (mandatory)
Clear Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector (mandatory)
Clear child welfare check (mandatory)
Valid First Aid/CPR certification (mandatory)
ASIST (suicide intervention) (not mandatory but an asset)
NVCI (non-violent crisis intervention) (mandatory)
English (fluent - understand, speak and write)
Valid Ontario Driver's license and ability to be insured.
Experience working with CHILDREN and YOUTH in a group home / residential setting.
Experience working with Autism, intellectual disabilities and mental health and behavioral challenges.
CPI/TCI trained, with a concrete knowledge of verbal de-escalation and physical holds.
Experience in ABA or other Autism interventions.
Preferred education in Child and Youth Work/care, Autism studies, social work or related field
Job Responsibilities:
Provide daily care, supervision, and support for children in a safe and structured environment.
Assist Program supervisor in all paperwork and documentations.
Assist with daily routines, including meals, personal hygiene, and school preparation.
Build positive relationships and offer emotional support to residents.
Implement care plans and support therapeutic goals.
Maintain accurate records, including daily logs and incident reports.
Respond to crises and de-escalate situations when necessary.
Assist with household tasks to ensure the home is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Work collaboratively with team members and attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Promote positive peer interactions and conflict resolution.
Uphold all Eagles Care policies and ensure confidentiality and respect for residents.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Experience providing personal care for high-risk youth, and or dual diagnosis.
Experience working with Autism, intellectual disabilities and mental health and behavioral challenges
CPI/TCI trained, with a concrete knowledge of verbal de-escalation protocols and physical holds
Experience in ABA or other Autism interventions
Bachelor's degree in social services or related field is
