Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gelato & Coffee Shop Assistant Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service or restaurant management, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience with POS systems such as Micros POS, barista skills, and restaurant or hotel experience are highly desirable.

Duties

Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving to maintain quality standards Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve operational goals and uphold food safety standards Assist with interviewing potential new hires Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, serving area Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and ensure a positive guest experience Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed Uphold hospitality standards consistent with the brand's reputation

Requirements

Proven supervising or team management experience in food service or restaurant environments Experience operating POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards Previous barista experience is a plus Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$19.40 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 42 per week
