About Our Client

This locally-owned and managed real estate development company that specializes in mid-sized multifamily projects. This company was founded by partners local development industry experience and brings together designers, consultants, and financial partners to deliver a top quality product. They have built a collaborative team that works together towards the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall goals and vision. They have a diverse portfolio of development projects in the pipeline and a growth mindset. Ongoing and upcoming projects include Richmond & Vancouver townhomes (nearly done), a Vancouver wood-frame apartment, a rental project in Central Vancouver and a South Vancouver mixed-use project.

About the Role

This role will assist in the field operations and delivery of projects by adhering to schedules, budgets, safety and risk. You will work under a Site Superintendent and assist in all phases of the project until finishing stages when you will (likely) move on to another project. You will provide vacation coverage for the Superintendent and may occasionally support another ongoing project as needed. You will effectively manage field employees by providing guidance and leadership on construction activities and developing effective communication between field and other project staff. You will develop and execute project work plans and schedules to keep project on track and on budget. Finally you will review site labour requirements, mentor carpenters and labourers and complete daily log reports. Finally, this role could quickly lead to a Site Superintendent position over the next 12-18 months as the need arises.

Requirements

• Knowledge of local woodframe construction practices with underground concrete structures with focus on multiple-family projects with 30+ units
• Minimum one(1) previously completed townhome (30+ units) or apartment project as an Assistant Superintendent (or similar)
• Experience in managing subtrades, and possessing key technical knowledge of the trades
• Asset \xe2\x80\x93 Comfortable with Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Bluebeam, Salus and Procore
• Must be a team player and a problem solver

Compensation

• Salary of $90,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $115,000
• Accrued Vacation : 2 weeks
• T2200 for Vehicle Expenses (if any)
• Computer
• Benefits through Manulife
• Annual bonus (discretionary but based on individual and project performance)
