Opportunity Summary



Reporting to the General Manager, Renovations, as the Assistant Superintendent, you will collaborate on supervising trades and executing the project to ensure high client satisfaction and meeting the project objectives and deadlines. Working on projects up to $10M, and supporting main operations projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities



On-site supervision and coordination of trades.

Ensure project is constructed in compliance with drawings, specifications, schedule, and budget.

Partnering with General Manager, Renovations and subcontractors to maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate on developing recovery strategies when project schedule or budgets are in jeopardy.

Review and update the construction schedule in partnership with General Manager, Renovations.

Provide leadership to peers ensuring all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture.

Maintain appropriate field documentation and organize subcontractor meetings as needed.

Hands-on construction work is required to meet job deadlines and needs, light duty tasks.

Qualifications



At least 5+ years of construction experience in related role duties. Experience with concrete and wood frame projects. Finishing and deficiency experience. Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with Procore experience as an asset. Strong supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
