Fashion Stylist Assistant - GARAGE

(3 months contract)

Job Summary:

The Fashion Office team is looking for an Fashion Stylist Assistant to be responsible for supporting the Fashion Stylist at delivering a unified and consistent outfit message from ideation to delivery to customer (E-commerce and brick and mortar stores). The Assistant Fashion Stylist will form a tight partnership with the Fashion Stylist to ensure proper preparation of all photo shoots.

You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate sample needs for key photoshoots/events;
• Maintain an organized wardrobe closet while pulling samples and building looks for multiple projects at once;
• Prep all E-commerce styling (steaming, organizing racks, photo prep of outfits, etc.);
• Support Fashion Stylist with building all photoshoot documents;
• Prep for all external shoots: write up samples, pack/unpack, prepare all documents;
• Research competitors monthly and build styling reports;
• Build runway recaps;
• Research new models/influencers;
• Must be in the know of latest influencers + trends (fashion + pop culture);
• Build monthly e-letters, style guides and coordinate for PR flats;
• Attend local e-letter shoots.

Qualifications:

• College-level degree in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Merchandising, or Fashion Marketing.
• 1-2 years of experience in fashion design/concept or editorial styling, preferably with an agency, magazine or E-commerce background;
• International exposure to designer brands would be preferable;
• Styling, presentation skills, Microsoft Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and merchandising skills an asset;
• Exhibit a strong knowledge of fashion brands and pop culture;

• Exhibit a strong point of view on trends and fashion styling;
• Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and ability to translate them based on brand DNA;
• Team player;
• Extremely organized;
• Creative thinker.
