Rotational Shift - 6AM to 1 AM (8 Hours Shift) with ability to work on weekendsOur client has been an Industry leader for over 25 years in the electronics distribution space and continues to grow and increase market share across different verticals internationally. This Assistant Store Manager role is for one of their highest grossing stores in Canada and attracts the most volume.In a fast-moving and dynamic setting, this position requires you to foster alignment and deliver results. You should demonstrate proficiency in navigating both strategic and operational challenges, showcasing analytical prowess, problem-solving abilities, and adept skills. This role demands a keen understanding of intricate business dynamics within a swiftly evolving organizational framework.This role will report into the Store Manager and be responsible for supporting the Retail operation through various initiatives, strategies, planning & execution.The Role:

  • Manages daily operations of a retail store engaged in selling wireless products and services.
  • Develops and implements sales strategies to ensure monthly store targets are achieved and overall profitability of store operations.
  • Review and approval of all customer contracts/RQ4 receipts sold by your Sales Staff.
  • Coordinates sales promotion activities and oversees preparation of merchandise displays for store audit and advertising copy.
  • Performs and/or supervises employees engaged in sales, customer service, taking of and controlling inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily records of transactions.
  • Train and ensure all employees are aware and comply with any new sales initiatives, policies or programs established
  • Preparation of daily and monthly sales reports to Management.
  • Follow up with Sales Staff on a regular basis on the status of achieving their monthly sales target.
  • Plans and develops work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
  • Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish inventory on hand. Conduct stock checks regularly.
  • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.
  • Accountable for controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, and loss prevention.
  • Coach, mentor and train store personnel and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Participates in the development and execution of promotional activities with the marketing team.
  • Accountable for all customer inquiries, needs, and/or problems, which may include account research, explanation of equipment operation, and execution of warranty claims.
  • Maintain demo line responsibilities through timely response of customer inquiries and follow up of any customer on-going issues.
  • Ensure all Fastrack modules/diplomas are completed by all staff within directed timelines.
  • Stays current with changes and developments in the wireless industry.
  • Promotes corporate culture and values.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Post secondary education, or related retail environment experience
  • 5+ years of Retail or Sales experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading a large team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work a rotational shift that could start from 6am and stay as late as 1am, as well as weekends/holidays
