We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Liquor or grocery experience required.
Duties
Assist in managing store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
Lead and inspire a team of clerks to achieve sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance their skills and improve overall store performance.
Monitor store performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
Manage budgets effectively while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain an organized store environment that reflects the brand's standards.
Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in retail or a similar environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize duties effectively.
Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management within a retail context.
Experience in recruiting and training staff members.
Ability to analyze market trends and make informed decisions regarding product selection and inventory management.
Strong communication skills with the ability to foster teamwork among staff members.
A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Must be able to stand, reach & bend without issue
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without issue
