Assistant Store Manager Availability (ASM) Currently assigned to the Real Canadian Superstore in Regina, Golden Mile location, it is also opened to the rest of Regina SK. - The ASM of Fresh is responsible for all fresh departments within the store. Departments include Produce, Salad Bar, Deli, Meat & Seafood, and Bakery. - The ASM of Service is responsible for all Service departments within the store. Departments include Front End, Health & Beauty, General Merchandise and Joe Fresh. - The ASM of Replenishment is responsible for all replenishment departments within the store. Departments include Grocery, Natural Foods, Dairy and Frozen. Department Managers of these departments report to the ASM. The ASM reports directly to the Store Manager.

Part of your responsibility as a ASM will include weekly rotational responsibilities/ participation in leading the Store Team in the absence of the Store Manager.

We offer a comprehensive training program to the successful applicant. While the successful applicant may benefit from having Retail Store Experience or previous experience leading/managing a team, we are on the lookout for a candidate willing to learn and take on a new career in Retail.

What You\'ll Do:

• To direct and supervise all Department Managers under your leadership to secure efficient, productivity, and courteous customer service achieving all metrics and targets,
• To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times
• To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales\xe2\x80\x99 goals and budgets are met in each department.
• To support your Department Manager team in their hiring needs of all part-time staff and training new employees
• To ensure Department Managers schedule all colleagues as per the Employee Guidelines ensuring the strict control of wage costs
• To interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the Employee Guidelines
• Responsible to ensure Department Managers maintain all department conditions and offices (5\'s standards)
• To ensure the safety and sanitation programs are followed and strictly adhered too.

What You\'ll Need:

• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, periodic night shifts as needed, and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Accept responsibility for department metrics, leadership and colleague engagement.
• Three to five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the retail service industry would be beneficial
• Prior management experience beneficial
• Grade 12 Diploma (GED or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
