Assistant Store Manager

(Bilingualism is considered beneficial)

Successful candidate will train in the Moncton Market Atlantic Superstores

Why is this role important:
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will provide excellence in customer service. Demonstrate leadership by managing employees and effectively planning.

What you\'ll do:

Present themselves as a role model when providing efficient and courteous customer service.

Resolve and manage customer complaints effectively and according to established guidelines.

Demonstrate leadership by providing positive and effective resolution to customer and team members concerns.

Encourage store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; follow up on a regular basis.

Maintain ongoing communication with colleagues from various departments to improve overall business results.

Coordinate the receiving, handling and storing of product to achieve optimal results

Planning and implementing events successfully.

Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.

Scheduling employees efficiently to improve productivity, profitability and margins.

Continuously training staff effectively to encourage them to meet company standards.

Provide proper training to new hires by meeting orientation expectations (e.i.: ensure food safety and health and safety requirements are met)

Pursue succession planning to ensure that employees are constantly developed to fill each needed role.

Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.

Understand and support store operations, policies and procedures.

What you bring:

\xc2\xb7 Bilingualism is considered beneficial

\xc2\xb7 High school diploma or equivalent

\xc2\xb7 Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting

\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop colleagues

\xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational and time management skills

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of retail operations is considered beneficial, including Acadian product merchandising, inventory management, and customer service
